Description
A compact wheel with real substance
AERO makes a compact format feel like a proper machine, not a stripped-down second wheel. At 24.5 kg, it remains manageable when you need to lift or store it, yet the heart of it is a one-piece magnesium-alloy chassis. This is not just a styling choice: it brings rigidity where the pedals load the frame, removes unnecessary hardware and leaves the side panels accessible for practical tyre repairs.
The 3.0-10 tubeless tyre gives it more footprint than its 10-inch rim suggests. With a maximum rider load of 120 kg, it has the proportions and structure to feel purposeful rather than fragile.
Power with enough reserve to matter
On a compact wheel, power should be read as margin before it is read as a headline. AERO’s 2,000 W motor gives it usable headroom when the load increases, a climb tightens or you need a firm response. It can reach up to 55 km/h**, but the value of that output is the breathing room it keeps below that number: more reserve means less chance of finding the wheel at the edge of its capability when demands rise.
This is backed by a 126 V, 1,110 Wh pack built from Samsung 50S cells. The stated range is up to 60 km, but rider mass, temperature, surface and pace will always determine the work asked of the wheel.
Suspension with a proper job to do
AERO’s 70 mm symmetrical bidirectional damping suspension works in compression and rebound on both sides. It is fully adjustable, so the response can be tuned to rider weight and preference instead of being fixed to a single setup.
The result is not a vague promise of comfort. It keeps the pedals closer to the rider through successive impacts and reduces the unwanted rebound that gives a small wheel a pogo-stick feel. On a compact wheel, that calmer and more predictable behaviour is a meaningful difference.
Details that make the AERO easy to live with
The small details are well considered. The 5 A charger takes around two to three hours, while the Smart BMS manages the battery pack in the background. Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in trolley handle and an integrated kickstand make the AERO easier to deal with before and after a ride.
There is also an IPX6-rated body, a daytime running light with three modes, a dedicated rear light and a two-part mudguard. Magnesium-alloy pedals complete a compact wheel that has been designed to be used often, not treated delicately.
Product Highlights
70 mm, properly controlled
Symmetrical bidirectional damping works in compression and rebound, with adjustment for rider weight and preference.
Magnesium unibody chassis
The one-piece magnesium-alloy frame keeps weight down while giving the pedals a rigid, well-supported foundation.
Daytime running light
The front light has three modes, with a bright integrated signature that suits the AERO's compact form.
Rear light and mudguard
A dedicated rear light sits neatly within the two-part mudguard, keeping the back of the wheel clean and purposeful.
Integrated kickstand
The built-in stand holds the AERO upright when you stop, without adding a loose accessory to carry.
Trolley handle
The integrated trolley handle makes a 24.5 kg wheel far easier to manage when you are off the pedals.
